Rabbi Mendel Ceitlin is a member of the International Bris Association, and primarily serves the Louisiana Jewish Community and the entire Deep South.

Rabbi Ceitlin offers home circumcisions and regularly travels to many cities in the region including, Slidell, Gulfport-Biloxy, Jackson, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Pensacola, the Florida Panhandle and beyond. He also travels throughout the United States, Canada.

Rabbi Ceitlin was born in Toronto, Ontario. He hails from a long line of certified circumcision practitioners, a.k.a Mohalim. Mendel's father, grandfather and great grandfather practices or have practiced the wonderful rite of ritual circumcision, the latter doing so in Stalinist time in the Soviet Union! For much of his childhood and teen years, he would observe his father, a top Mohel in Toronto, as he performed hundreds of circumcisions. 

Rabbi Ceitlin received his training and certification from Rabbi Yaakov Schechter, a distinguished expert Mohel, and well known instructor in Israel, who is certified by Israel’s health ministry and chief rabbinate. He performs the circumcision to the highest medical and religious standards.

Rabbi Ceitlin has a bachelors degree in Talmudic studies, and Rabbinic ordination from the Central Lubavitch Yeshiva.

He and his wife Chaya currently reside in Metairie, Louisiana with their six children. He is the Director of Education at the Chabad Jewish Center.
